Teach learn with your kids
3 things that I’ve learned from kids that every grown up should know
3 things that I’ve learned from kids that every grown up should know
I’ve always loved kids. I always desired to have 3 kids close in age so they could be best buddies, and I get to live out this dream every day. Kids are so funny and in the moment. They teach us so much about our own personal development if we’re open and listening.
Here are 3 things that I’ve learned from kids that every grown up should know:
- Live boldly like a toddler. Toddlers have no fear. They just go and do things that can drive us parents crazy because they have no filter. Have you ever watched a 3 year old? They jump right in to whatever their heart desires without fear. They tear up a playground. Jump into mud puddles with no shoes on. Run with abandon in the parking lot. If you have a dream in your heart, don’t listen to your self doubt. Just be like a toddler and jump right in. Over and over again.
- Be authentically you. Kids don’t wear social masks…. Oh- I need to wear this dress to the party b/c it’s more appropriate...I need to act like this on my date… I need to impress this investor to close the deal and put up a front...If you want to attract real genuine people who love you for you- you’ll never know unless you drop your mask.
- Be in the moment. Love can only be found in the present moment. That’s where true connection lies. Kids are incredibly playful and always in the moment. That’s why they’re so joyful when playing… Which is why I designed the Adi plate- to be fully in the present moment. That’s where the magic is at and the stuff that makes memories that last a lifetime.
